Emma Nord – designer, web developer & marketer in Högsby, Småland

My career began with a three-year, hands-on training as a communication designer – layout, typography, brand development, corporate design, print production and final artwork. I was the kind of person who kept redrawing ads at school so they would look better, so it felt right from the start. Straight after training I got a job at an advertising agency, where for six years I worked as a graphic designer and later as a project manager on print and online campaigns, including for car dealers. That's where I learned what is still the core of my work: holding a whole project together – from idea and layout to printer, photographer and finished event – with one direct line of contact for the client, instead of being passed between different people.

After a few years as a product marketer, where I was solely responsible for the brand expression of an entire product line – copy, newsletters, print materials and events in close cooperation with product management and sales – I took the step of taking on full responsibility for all marketing in my current company, on my own. Since then I've handled everything from communication strategy, web design, SEO and social media to trade fairs, video production and 3D visualisation – on my own, for several years. That is exactly the full picture I offer you with Emma Nord Studio: one person who can handle the whole chain from idea to result, instead of you having to explain your business to five different contacts.

I speak German and English fluently and am currently learning Swedish – so if it comes out a little clumsy at times, or I need to switch to English mid-sentence, please bear with me. If you speak German yourself, or have customers, suppliers or perhaps a holiday home in Germany, we're also happy to talk in German – which is especially valuable here in Småland, where many tradespeople and small businesses have German customers or German cabin owners as neighbours.

In my free time I enjoy drawing, art, reading, psychology and film – and a long-standing interest in Sweden was actually one of the reasons I ended up here in Högsby, Småland, where I now run my studio and am happy to offer you a cup of coffee when we meet.
